Emalahleni Aftercare, Skills Development and Study Academy (EASDSA) was opened in 2017 and officially registered in September 2018, of which EASDSA operated few years before its final registration in September 2018. It is currently operating at Methodist church in Del Judor area in Emalahleni as we do not have our own premises. Currently it is providing study skills and some handwork skills to learners from different schools in Witbank. Through our journey this far the following program is facilitated by retired educators, student teachers and qualified teachers who gave themselves in providing service which includes their real-life experience, educational knowledge and life skills. In providing these services in this current run, the organisation is in provision of soft and hard skills since the foundation of the organisation.

Emalahleni Aftercare Skill Development and Study Academy (EASDSA) has the most diversified skills development programs to enhance the present and future of children and teenagers
AFTER CARE STUDY SKILLS AND TUTORIALS
After skills study and tutorial for children and teenagers which is a financial supporting project to this program that EASDSA use to fundraise for the above main projects so as generate more funds in solving the financial requirements of the above-mentioned projects. While this After care services being focused on children and teenagers affected by substance abuse.
Sewing & Needlework
Sewing & Needlework project which includes needlework and embroidery – was active since March 2017 Requires funds for Equipment to expand digital embroidery and extent the scope of such skills. The embroidery with automation is also being foreseen as the future to build with the practical part of skills development at the lowest cost and even using this one in fundraising for the continuous financial upkeep.

My son couldn’t concentrate at school and the teachers would tell me that he needs counselling, he even had to repeat grade 1. So then this organisation said I must give them a chance to work on my son. I was very skeptic at 1st because I believed that my son needed more than just extra classes. But I enrolled him and I started to notice his change of behaviour when it comes to his school work. He’s marks started to improve and even the teacher was surprised as to what has happened. Basil grade 3 RCS joined Study center 2016 .He enjoys reading as he started understanding phonics in grade R . What he likes at Study center is spelling BEE competition ; picnics and funny time. He enjoys to attend weekend classes.
